Project Scope: The structural design of a telecommunications site on an existing two-story wood framed building. Antennas were added on an existing penthouse and equipment was added on a wood floor system. The added wind and seismic loading required a lateral force resisting system and floor framing upgrade. The design included added and strengthened shear walls, diaphragm strengthening, added drag struts, and hold downs.
